Jumanji Beats Out Frozen At Weekend Box office

LOS ANGELES – Jumanji: The Next Level froze Frozen 2 in second place in theaters in the United States and Canada, while Richard Jewell of Clint Eastwood did not fare so well in his premiere.

The Sony film starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart raised $60.1 million at the US box office, a record for a comedy in December for the producer. A week before its premiere in North America, Jumanji debuted in 18 countries and earned $52.5 million.

On the other hand, Frozen 2 fell to second place with $19.2 million at the North American box office after remaining three consecutive weeks in the first place. The sixth launch of Walt Disney Studio in 2019 has raised $ 367 million since its launch on November 22.

Richard Jewell – which deals with the attack of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta – was fourth in the list raising $ 5 million.
